I know I haven’t weighed in (ha ha) here in a long time, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been obsessed with food and diet issues. I’ve just been trying to mellow a bit as I am pregnant and gaining weight is part of the deal.
Lately, though, I’ve been especially crazed because it seems every time I step on the scale (every a.m.) I’ve gained another pound or two. Doctor didn’t seem concerned upon my last visit (Friday) but I’m convinced it’s only because I wore lighter clothes — and therefore the gain looked smaller.
I have this terrible fear of being one of those women who completely “gives up” on herself after having kids. I want to be a MILF, not a fatty has-been that disgusts even myself. Part of the reason I married DH is that he is a fit guy who considers exercise a priority, but he doesn’t necessarily want to exercise with me.
Anyway, all this to say that we bought the treadmill and finally got it set up this weekend. Got on to sort of “give it a spin” last night and ended up walking for 30 minutes! It was really really great and honestly the time flew by. I know 30 mins isn’t a huge amount in the grand scheme but I haven’t exercised in weeks so it was a great start. Yippee! I really want to be fit and I really think the treadmill is going to help me get there.
