Dinner
Dinner is yesterday’s lunch.
healthy choice traditional turkey breast dinner - 6 points
4 points left which is fabulous for a dessert if I am still up for it.
Am going to try to get up early in the a.m. for some exercise but it’s already after 9 and I haven’t even eaten dinner yet. Yuck. Also need to talk to my husband who is away for work. So I won’t be sleeping too soon. OK, better get to eating so I can get moving on the evening plan.
RealSimple on Food Journals
A Web exclusive from Real Simple:
keep a food journal
Listing everything they ate allowed Traci Gavzer, Jeannie Mandelker, and Laura Noss to take a critical look at their eating habits. Keep your own journal in a small notebook. Or print and use the form provided here. [This might require a subscription.] Write down what you eat on three weekdays and one weekend day, using the following guidelines:
Record everything you eat and drink immediately.
Note what you’re doing while you’re eating — driving, watching TV, etc.
Describe how you
felt while you ate: angry, sad, happy, nervous,
starving, bored?
Be honest. It’s a journal, not a newsletter.
At the end of each day, examine how your emotions affected your eating.
AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU’RE GETTING AT LEAST
9 servings of whole-grain cereal, rice, or pasta (1/2 cup) or bread (1 slice).
5 servings of fruits and vegetables (1/2 cup).>
3 servings of low-fat milk, yogurt, or cottage cheese (1 cup).
8 ounces of lean meat, poultry, or fish or a nonmeat equivalent (1 ounce of meat = 1 egg, 1/2 cup beans, or 2 to 3 ounces tofu).
a bit of a stressful
a bit of a stressful afternoon but I didn’t snack, except for on that previously-mentioned yogurt. it’s diet coke time now as I try to get my work second wind.

Exercise: Just say no
Ran across this blog entry that equates exercise with other addictions. Funny take.
thinking about it more deeply, though, it is all about finding a way to channel your negative feelings and emotions and avoiding self-destructive behavior. Hm.

Took a sort of circuitous
Took a sort of circuitous route to work this morning, involving lots more stair climbing (and descending) than usual. (RNC avoidance tactics.) So, a slight bit more exercise — though I was a bit winded, which disappointed me.
Anyway…
Breakfast
Egg white, mushroom, broccolli wrap. Sort of like a burrito. So far have only eaten half of it and can’t figure out exactly how to count it. The wrap is pretty enormous and there are tons of egg whites in there. Also, not sure how the egg was cooked though it doesn’t seem at all greasy.
Coffee. Mmm…
Dinner, Dessert + weigh in
